DIGIPASS Readers

DIGIPASS Readers Products in this group include connected and unconnected models. DIGIPASS Readers combine secret values, stored on smart cards, with DIGIPASS algorithms pre-programmed into the DIGIPASS reader. These products optimize investment in smart card technology, by extending smart card use to include one-time passwords and electronic signatures.

  DIGIPASS Unconnected Readers

 

Products in this range are unconnected models, using secret values stored in a smart card. The input/output interface is operated by the DIGIPASS holder, so that use is restricted to symmetrical secrets in the smart cards (asymmetric secrets generate codes which are too long to be copied by hand, e.g. 1024-bit). These products are typically used in combination with payment cards supplied by banks.

Products in this range can be used in both connected (via USB to a PC) and unconnected mode.
